The prevented damage exceeded 5 million rubles. The counterfeit goods were labeled in Russian and included fake import markings, complicating their detection. The production was orchestrated by several entrepreneurs who employed illegal migrants in underground workshops.
The organized group was found guilty. The court imposed fines exceeding 500,000 rubles for each participant, and one individual received a sentence of two years in a high-security penal colony.
