Within the framework of combating the manufacture and spreading of counterfeit products and with the goal of development and deepening of collaboration between enforcement bodies on 26 April 2023 Vlasta Consulting Ltd. employees held a meeting with O.A. Baranov, head of the Main directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Moscow.
Within the meeting, the significant success of the Department of Internal Affairs of SZAO GUMVD of Moscow’s Ministry of Internal Affairs was noted, namely in identifying and suppression of the entire chain of manufacture and distribution of counterfeit products, from counterfeits in retail to around-the-clock illegal production.
As a gesture of gratitude and high regard of professional qualities of police staff, representatives of Vlasta Consulting Ltd. presented Oleg Anatolyevich Baranov with a letter of thanks.
Also, during the meeting issues of combating counterfeit products were discussed. In particular, it was confirmed that combating illegal goods is still a major direction of work both in terms of consumer protection from low-quality and potentially dangerous products and in terms of fighting for a legal, honest market. A discussion of the necessity of both holding violators administratively responsible and prosecuting them under the criminal law was held.
